The Mind Behind Tavenend

Hello, and welcome. I'm SketchWork, the solo creator, writer, composer, and producer of the Tavenend podcast audio dramas. For over 25 years, I've been working in creative technology, but my deepest passion has always been for storytelling, especially the kind that gets under your skin.

With this podcast audio drama, I'm combining all my skills into one project. I handle everything you hear, from the writing of each terrifying incident to:

  1) Original Music & Scoring: Composing the unsettling themes and atmospheric music that give the broadcast its unique, dreadful feel.

  2) Cinematic Sound Design: Crafting every footstep, every burst of static, and every chilling, otherworldly sound to create a truly immersive audio experience.

  3) Voice Acting & Direction: Performing some of the key roles, including our mysterious investigator, and directing the entire cast to bring the horror to life.

  4) Production & Engineering: Mixing and mastering every episode to a professional, broadcast-quality standard, ensuring every whisper and scream is perfectly clear.
